The Interference Rate of Radiation of Two Charges in Circular Motion
نویسنده
چکیده
We present an exact formula for the computation of the interference rate of radiation in the case of two charges revolving with constant angular velocity at opposite ends of a diameter in a fixed circle. The formula is valid for arbitrary velocities of the charges, and can be easily studied by numerical methods, even for velocities very close to the velocity of light. For ultrarelativistic motion, the interference rate of radiation behaves as ln(1 − v2/c2)−1/2, which contrasts with the behavior (1 − v/c) for the rate of radiation for one charge in circular motion. This is the first exact calculation for the interference rate of radiation of two relativistic charges, and it is useful in connection with the old controversy about the correctness of the Lorentz-Dirac equations of motion for more than one charge.

Abstract Background and Objectives: Incidents related to electromagnetic interference with medical devices have been reported over the past decades. It has also been indicated that the microwave radiation emitted from mobile phones interferes with the operation of medical devices therefore, this study aimed at testing the interference by GSM mobile phones with cell counters. Material and Method...
متن کاملElectromagnetic Radiofrequency Radiation Emitted from GSM Mobile Phones Decreases the Accuracy of Home Blood Glucose Monitors
Mobile phones are two-way radios that emit electromagnetic radiation in microwave range. As the number of mobile phone users has reached 6 billion, the bioeffects of exposure to mobile phone radiation and mobile phone electromagnetic interference with electronic equipment have received more attention, globally. As self-monitoring of blood glucose can be a beneficial part of diabetes control, ho...
متن کاملA Numerical Study of Natural Convection and Radiation Interaction in Vertical Circular Pin
A numerical finite difference study has been earned out for two dimensional radiation-natural convection interaction phenomena in a vertical circular pin located at a non-participating (i.e. transparent) fluid. The coupled conservation equations in boundary layer (continuity, momentum, and energy equations) and pin energy equation are solved simultaneously using modified box method and fully im...
متن کاملWhy Doesn’t a Steady Current Loop Radiate?
The answer must be that the radiation is canceled by destructive interference between the radiation fields of the large number N of electrons that make up the steady current. A single electron in uniform circular motion emits electric dipole radiation, whose power is proportional to the square of the acceleration a = v/r, and hence to (v/c). But, the electric dipole moment vanishes for two elec...
متن کاملElectrodynamics of Radiating Charges
The theory of electrodynamics of radiating charges is reviewed with special emphasis on the role of the Schott energy for the conservation of energy for a charge and its electromagnetic field. It is made clear that the existence of radiation from a charge is not invariant against a transformation between two reference frames that has an accelerated motion relative to each other. The questions w...
